Nuts Invisible Bikini

A promotion idea for Nuts magazine
Nuts magazine invites girls on the beach to be photographed for the “hottest beach babe competition.”
To promote this, girls are dressed in pixelated bikinis that from a distance would make them look naked.
The idea is inspried by paparazzi photos of celebrities on a beach which sometimes need to be censored.

Straight to a Curly Wurly

An idea for a cheap ambient campaign for curly wurly chocolate bar. One U.S.P of the curly wurly is it’s name. Within a tube station a purple vinyl line leads the viewer from the platform, up the escalators and to a vending machine.“straight to a curly wurly”

Drink Drivving Message

Pubs that show sport on their T.V’s display an icon of a pint glass to display they have a liscense to do so. A sticker is designed to use similar graphics and placed next to this icon to show an anti drink driving message.

The Partners Jerwood Gallery

This was an idea to promote the ‘Experiment’ show at the Jerwood gallery which I did whilst at The Partners.

Brand 42

Brand 42 is a branding company that design over a variety of media. Their clients include CNN, Jonnie Walker and Smirnoff. While I was there I worked on label design and look and feel for a new beer, as well as making a pitch for the Olympics mascot. I was also involved in implementing brand guidelines for Jonnie Walker red label. This ranged from packaging the product to in store promotional bars.
Brand 42 gave me an incredible insight into branding. I understand much better the commercial success that comes from a solid brand identity and how it can be implemented over many different areas.

Recycled Design

This project was in collaboration with

Joe Gibson - fine art

Hannah Gourlay - fashion

Fred Rigby - Product Design

Joe began by painting a canvas that was then cut and shaped into a cape. Finally the canvas material and wood was used to make a chair. Only the original material of canvas and wood were used by all three creatives. The initial shapes that Joe painted were recycled in the design of the subsequent cape and chair.

Scratch Tally

I have a skin condition that causes an itch scratch cycle. I mapped the number of scratches all over my body during the course of an hour. A uv pen is used to represent the invisible marks left by scratching.
